Apache Cat is not the only thoroughbred now in Australia with generous paint horse-like splashings of white all over his body. Peta Oxenbridge at Racing Colours Farm in NSW has imported Australia's 1st ever thoroughbred boasting paint horse genetics: meaning he can & will produce thoroughbred offspring with masses of white all over them. "What makes this colt so unusual is the extremely rare crop-out gene he has, which is capable of creating large random patches of white over the body," explained Oxenbridge, who owns the northern hemisphere-bred unraced young stallion hope Profile In Style (Ellusive Quest-Dancedub L). "His genetic structure (which is recognised by our Stud Book) is so rare there are only a handful of thoroughbreds in the world with this specific colour modifier gene & this colt is the 1st of his kind in the southern hemisphere." The colt's sire Ellusive Quest (who also shares this gene) is by Sonny's Solo Halo, who in turn is by champion sire Halo; Halo sired Sunny's Halo & world champion sire Sunday Silence. Profile In Style will stand his debut season at Racing Colours Farm this year in Rockley in NSW & then be put into work as a 3YO in January next year.
