Edinburgh Park has fashioned a strong record with only small drafts at this sale, selling Gr3 winner and Gr1-placed Bull Point at the Magic Millions Gold Coast sale in 2012. Other stakes winners sold here by Edinburgh Park include Bhutane Dane and Amovatio.

In 2016, they bring a select group of seven yearlings to the Gold Coast, by a range of sires. Proven sire Snitzel has two yearlings here, including Lot 245, a filly out of stakes-placed Fortune of War, who is a half-sister to group winners Sertorius and Clifton Red. Lot 654 is a colt from winning mare Sweet Hollow, who is a half-sister to Gr1 winner Victory Note.

Slipper winner Sebring left last season’s Horse of the Year in Dissident, and Edinburgh presents Lot 2, a filly out of winning mare A Quiet Shandy, who is a full-sister to stakes winner and Gr1 placed Becerra from the family of Gr1 winner Episode and First Seal.

Lot 527 is by Denman and is a three-quarter brother to Gr2 winner Pinwheel (Lonhro); while Lot 434 is by second season sire Sepoy – himself a boom freshman yearling sire of last year – out of a young winning Choisir mare.

Boom freshman sire Pierro has Lot 438, a colt, the first foal of stakes winner Miss Marx (Anabaa), who is herself out of stakes winner Daijobo. The draft is completed with another boom freshman – All Too Hard – whose colt, Lot 624, is out of a winning half -sister to stakes winner Dysphonia.

This might be only a small draft, yet it is full of quality pedigrees, and this farm has a great production record, giving buyers plenty of confidence when they choose to bid.
