Australia’s number one thoroughbred auctioneer Magic Millions will conduct their 2019 Tasmanian Yearling Sale on Monday February 25; and, meanwhile, the associated pair of Magic Millions races at Launceston will be run on Sunday February 24, joining the Tasmanian Oaks Day program.

“The Tasmanian Yearling Sale has evolved in recent years and it now regularly attracts buyers from all over Australia,” Magic Millions managing director Barry Bowditch said. “The 2019 sale date provides our vendors with the best chance to showcase their yearlings and the buyers every chance to make it to Launceston.” Magic Millions is proud of its relationship with the Tasmanian thoroughbred industry and excited to announce a new long term arrangement has been locked in to continue its conduct of the Tasmanian Yearling Sale. “This agreement highlights Magic Millions’ renewed commitment to Tasmania and breeders in the state,” Bowditch added. “We are proud of the growth of the sale and the record of graduates over recent years.”

The Magic Millions Tasmanian 2YO Classic will now carry prizemoney of $75,000 while the former 3YO Classic will also be open to four-year-olds and will run as the Tasbreeders Magic Millions 3&4YO Classic with prizemoney boosted to $65,000. The connections of the first three placegetters in both Magic Millions races will also receive sales credit vouchers to spend at the 2019 Tasmanian Yearling Sale.
