Gr1 Goal for Classy White Moss

Thursday, 26th April 2018

Trainer Jason Coyle has revealed that he is preparing smart racemare White Moss for a winter campaign aimed at the Group 1 Tatts Tiara (1400m) in Brisbane. Coyle intends to use Saturday's Gr3 Godolphin Crown (1300m) at Hawkesbury and the Gr3 Dark Jewel Classic (1400m) at Scone on 12 May as stepping stones to the fillies & mares feature at Doomben on 23 June. White Moss (Mossman-Pay My Bail, by Justice Prevails), who has shown significant potential winning 5 of her 10 starts including the Gr3 Nivison (1200m) in Sydney in the Spring, returned from a break with a pleasing third behind Quilista in the Gr2 Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Randwick twelve days ago. "She's coming off a really strong performance in the Sapphire first-up and doesn't have to improve much to be pretty competitive in the Crown," Coyle told AAP. "She'll take improvement from that run and then hopefully jag a start in the Dark Jewel. From there we'll probably go straight to Brisbane. We can space her runs a bit to get there and based on her form, she's right up to that class. Her record speaks for itself."
