At Sha Tin racecourse in Hong Kong, Wellfield Lodge's dual Gr1-winning stallion Road to Rock (Encosta de Lago-Trewornan, by Midyan) celebrated an elite race success when 5YO New Zealand-bred gelding Beauty Generation (Road to Rock-Stylish Bel, by Bel Esprit) simply outclassed his rivals when scoring a dominant front-running win in the HK$18 million Gr1 Champions Mile (1600m), defeating Western Express & Southern Legend. It has been a remarkable season for Beauty Generation who has recorded five wins from his past eight outings, including three victories at Group 1 level. Purchased for $60,000 at the 2014 NZB Select Yearling Sale, Beauty Generation (who raced as Montaigne in Australia) improved his record to 9 wins (including the Gr1 Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup, Gr1 Hong Kong Mile, Gr2 Sha Tin Trophy & Gr3 HKJC Celebration Cup) and 7 placings (including the Gr1 Rosehill Guineas & Hong Kong Derby) from 22 starts for $7,021,308 in earnings.

At Sha Tin in Hong Kong, dual Gr1-winning former Coolmore shuttler Holy Roman Emperor (Danehill-L'On Vite, by Secretariat) celebrated an elite success when 7YO Irish-bred gelding Beauty Only (Holy Roman Emperor-Goldendale, by Ali-Royal) scored by 0.5 length in the HK$4 million Gr2 Chairman's Trophy (1600m) for 3YO+, defeating Western Express & Pingwu Spark. Beauty Only improved his record to 11 wins (including the Gr1 Hong Kong Mile, Gr1 Hong Kong Classic Mile & Gr2 HKJC Chairman's Trophy) and 10 placings (including the Gr1 HKJC Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup) from 42 starts for €4,881,335 in earnings.

Purchased for $60,000 at the 2014 NZB Select Yearling Sale, Beauty Generation (who raced as Montaigne in Australia) improved his record to 7 wins (including the Gr2 Sha Tin Trophy & Gr3 HKJC Celebration Cup) and 7 placings (including the Gr1 Rosehill Guineas & Hong Kong Derby) from 18 starts for $4,345,075 in earnings. “He’s done everything right from day one, this horse. We saw he was a little hampered in the run last time but today he had the gun run and was able to dictate the terms of the race," said winning trainer John Moore.
