Monday, 26th September 2005

In Europe, Widden Stud shuttler Anabaa (Danzig-Balbonella, by Gay Mecene) added a French juvenile black-type success when Alec Head's home-bred 2YO filly Silva (Anabaa-Silverqueen, by Alydar) powered home from the tail of the field to grab victory by a nose in the Listed Prix Zeddaan at Maisons Laffitte, reported thoroughbredinternet.com. Silva defeated English-visitor Campbeltown (by Mull Of Kintyre) & Fenice (by Woodman). Silva has now won 2 of her 3 starts & "is 1 of 6 stakes-winners in 2005 by Anabaa", who stands at France's Haras du Quesnay & shuttles to Widden Stud in the NSW Hunter Valley.
