Key Farm Dispersal In Perth

Wednesday, 1st February 2006

In Australia, recently-retired star 7YO staying mare Free At Last (Senor Pete-Bargibant, by Sir Tristram) headlines the catalogue (over 130 lots from weanlings to proven broodmares) at the Magic Millions Key Farm dispersal (plus reductions from Oakland Park Stud & Peters Investments) at Belmont in Perth on April 1. Free At Last ( winner of Perth's Gr2 C.B.Cox Stakes & a Gr1 place-getter) was a strong favourite for the Perth Cup before her sudden retirement in mid-December when West Australian trainer Alan Mathews confirmed a scan found she had "a hole in her off-fore tendon"; she recorded 10 wins & 12 placings in 35 starts for $545,247 prize-money. Among the other dispersal offerings are: stakes-winners Spirit Lady, Spuranto & Palace News; & stakes-performed mares Centrepiece, Lady Suffolk, Luluwa, Tissot & Yseult.
