Monday, 13th February 2006

Armidale Stud stallion Savoire Vivre (Sadler's Wells-Oh So Sharp, by Kris) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when juvenile filly Rustia (Savoire Vivre-Rustican, by Bureaucracy) snatched victory by a head in the $50,000 Listed Elwick Stakes (1100m) for 2YOs in Hobart. Rustia (ridden by Brendan McCoull for trainer Charlie Goggin) defeated fellow fillies Clawing (Catbird-Ease 'n' Please, by Kenmare) & Sunny Skies (With Class-Showery, by Aliocha). Rustia (passed-in when failing to make her $8,000 reserve at the Tasmanian Yearling Sale) now has 4 wins & a runner-up in 5 starts for $65,623 prize-money.
