Monday, 13th February 2006

Independent Stallions Victoria sire Brief Truce (Irish River-Falafel, by Northern Dancer) added a black-type success when his gelded son Thin And Crispy (Brief Truce-Vitessa, by Success Express) scored a short-neck victory in the $100,000 Listed Wellington Racing Club Stakes (1400m) for 3YOs at Caulfield. Thin And Crispy (ridden by Luke Nolen for trainer Peter Moody) defeated favoured filly Serenade Rose (Stravinsky-Rose Of Tralee, by Sadler's Wells) & the colt Bel Danoro (Danehill-Bislotto, by Bellotto). Thin And Crispy (a $15,000 yearling at the 2004 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) now has 3 wins & 3 placings in 9 starts for $114,100 earnings.
