Tabcorp Final Offer To TVN
Tabcorp chief executive Matthew Slatter "is believed to have made a final offer to rival horseracing broadcaster ThoroughVisioN to end the dispute that has cost the industry millions of dollars in lost revenue," reported The Australian Financial Review. The deal "is said to include the establishment of a dedicated racing channel for premium racing events covered by Tabcorp's Sky Channel & TVN". Slatter "told one industry insider he was prepared to walk away from negotiations if the latest & final offer is rebuffed by TVN & its backers". TVN chief executive Peter Sweeney told the newspaper "negotiations were amicable & continuing between the 2 parties & he was unaware of any ultimatum from Tabcorp & Sky Channel".
