Veteran US jockey Roberto Gonzalez recorded his 4,000th career win by guiding Barbecue Bob to a dominating 6.5-lengths victory over 8.5 furlongs at Golden Gate Fields, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Gonzalez, 51, is a native of Mexico & began galloping horses for Jerry Dutton at Hollywood Park in 1972; he landed his 1st winner aboard Sawtooth at the California track in May 1975.
