Break The Barrier Wins Gosford Cup

Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added a black-type success when 4YO gelding Break The Barrier (Danehill Dancer-Rhapsody In Blue, by Maizcay) scored a long-head victory in yesterday's $150,000 Listed Gosford Gold Cup (2100m) at Gosford in NSW. Break The Barrier (ridden by Jim Cassidy for trainer Graeme Rogerson) defeated favoured fellow 4YO gelding Chess Record (Redoute's Choice-Light Music, by Palace Music) & 5YO gelding Gilded Youth (Gilded Time-Kapeskin, by Kaapstad). Break The Barrier (a $72,500 yearling at the 2003 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) now has 6 wins & 7 placings in 32 starts for $345,570 prize-money.
