Black Minnaloushe Sold To South Africa
NZ Windsor Park Stud's 8YO Coolmore shuttler & boom 1st-Season sire Black Minnaloushe (Storm Cat-Coral Dance, by Green Dancer) has been sold "for a substantial, undisclosed figure" to Graham Beck's Maine Chance Farms (South Africa's champion breeder for 6 of the last 10 years). Beck also owns prominent Kentucky stud Gainesway Farm (where Black Minnaloushe was bred). As part of the sale arrangement, Gr1 Irish 2000 Guineas-winner Black Minnaloushe (currently NZ's leading 1st Season sire) will stand a final season in 2006 at Nelson Schick's Windsor Park (his southern hemisphere base for the last 5 seasons); he sired his 8th individual 2YO winner from his 1st NZ-bred crop last week when juvenile filly Jazzella won the first leg of a NZ$100,000 triple-crown bonus series of races. Also among his 1st NZ-bred crop is Champion NZ 2YO elect & dual Gr1 winner Jokers Wild.
