Golan's 3rd Winner From 7 Runners

Wednesday, 7th June 2006

In Europe, NZ Windsor Park-based dual Gr1-winning sire Golan (Spectrum-Highland Gift, by Generous) recorded his 3rd individual winner from his initial 2YO crop when Lady Enza (Golan-Daymoon, by Dayjur) won Italy's Premio Duccia di Buoninsegna (1400m) in Rome. From just 7 runners to date, Golan boasts 3 winners & 2 place-getters, also including: UK-winning colts Prince Golan & Arnie's Joint; UK-placed filly Buddies Girl; & Irish-placed colt Goldan Jess. Golan (whose 129 Timeform Rating made him equal-highest 4YO in the world in 2002) began southern hemisphere stud duties at Windsor Park in 2003; his 1st southern crop yearlings were auctioned earlier this year, selling up to NZ$130,000 at the NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale. Golan will stand the coming season for NZ$7,500+GST.
