Florida 2YOs Day-1: US$100k Hay Halo Filly

John Dowd (acting as agent for Bob Hurley) paid US$100,000 for a filly by Hay Halo, already named La Vikina (Spanish for "the Lady Viking") out of Clever Trick mare Clever Moranda. The filly (consigned by Pure Silk Farm, owned by Ocala-based Francisco & Abraham Gardea) recorded the equal fastest 3 furlongs in 33.8sec during the pre-sale breeze-ups, noted thoroughbredtimes.com.
