Florida Sire Tiger Ridge Sold To South Africa
Florida-based 10-year-old 3rd-crop stallion Tiger Ridge (Storm Cat-Weekend Surprise, by Secretariat) "has been sold to South African breeder Mary Slack to stand at her Wilgerbosdrift Stud in Piketberg in the Western Cape," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Tiger Ridge (who has been standing at Hartley/De Renzo Walmac South in Ocala for US$7,500) is a half-brother to 1992 champion & leading sire A.P.Indy, 1990 Gr1 Preakness Stakes winner & sire Summer Squall, stakes-winner Eavesdropper & Gr3-placed winner & sire Honor Grades. Tiger Ridge has sired 70 winners from 93 starters who have earned US$3,389,300 (including 7 stakes-winners, led by 2005 Calder Oaks victor Tiger Belle).
