1st Winner For UK Freshman Sire Sakhee

Meanwhile French classic-winning UK-based 9YO freshman sire Sakhee (Bahri-Thawakib, by Sadler's Wells) recorded his 1st winner when Hamad Mohammed Suhail's 2YO colt Shujoon scored by 0.75-lengths on debut over 1400m at Compiegne in France, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Sakhee won France's 2001 Gr1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe & later that year ran 2nd in the US Gr1 Breeders' Cup Classic at Belmont Park; the following year he finished 3rd in the Gr1 Dubai World Cup. Overall, Sakhee won 8 of 14 starts & earned US$3,253,253. He stands at Shadwell Stud in England & has 64 foals in his 1st crop.
