US Sire Crowd Pleaser Dies Aged 11

In the US, 11-year-old Maryland-based 3rd-crop sire & Gr3 winner Crowd Pleaser (A.P.Indy-Creaking Board, by Night Shift) "died in his paddock at Northview Stallion Station from acute cardiovascular collapse," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. From 110 foals, Crowd Pleaser has sired 27 winners from 50 starters. On the track, Pennsylvania-bred Crowd pleaser won 9 of 24 starts (including the Gr3 Saranac Handicap, Calder Derby & Virginia Derby) & earned US$605,150.
