Imperialism Retired To Florida Stud

Tuesday, 8th August 2006

US triple Gr2-winning 5YO stallion Imperialism (Langfuhr-Bodhavista, by Pass The Tab) has been retired & sold "to take up stud duty at Get Away Farm in Florida for the 2007 breeding season," reported bloodhorse.com. Trainer Kristin Mulhall confirmed: "He retires perfectly sound. He just wasn't as into racing as he used to be, so we decided it was time." Imperialism notched 6 wins & 8 placings from 29 starts for US$899,772 earnings; his highlight victories include the Gr2 San Vicente Stakes, Gr2 San Rafael Stakes & Gr2 Pat O'Brien Breeders' Cup Handicap, plus placings in the Gr1 Santa Anita Derby, Gr1 Kentucky Derby, Gr1 Hollywood Derby & Gr2 Strub Stakes.
