1st Foal For Deceased Champ Saint Liam

The 1st foal by ill-fated 2005 US Champion older horse & Horse-Of-The-Year Saint Liam (Saint Ballado-Quiet Dance, by Quiet American) was born at ClassicStar in Kentucky: a colt out of 17-year-old Seattle Slew mare Slewzig, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. The colt is the 8th foal from Slewzig (who has produced 6 winners, including 3 stakes-winners). After his 1st season at stud (at Lane's End in Kentucky), then 6YO Saint Liam broke his leg in a farm accident & was euthanased in August 2006. On the track, Saint Liam won 9 of 20 starts & earned US$4,456,995; his victories included the Gr1 Donn Handicap, Gr1 Stephen Foster Handicap, Gr1 Woodward Stakes & Gr1 Breeders' Cup Classic.
