Tuesday, 1st May 2007
Australian jockey Aaron Spiteri "has been given a great opportunity of riding exclusively for Indian racing's biggest owner Dr Mallya during the Bangalore Summer Season of 2007," reported racenet.com.au. Spiteri, 29, "will be in India until the end of the season (which ceases at the end of July) & will return to Australia & ride freelance from August 1. Spiteri (Melbourne's leading apprentice in the 1997-98 season) has been riding in Singapore since July 2005, booting home 67 winners (including the G1 Penang Gold Cup twice & G1 Patrons Bowl).
