Montjeu Adds Italian Black Type

In Europe overnight, dual-Derby winning Coolmore sire & former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) added an Italian black-type success when Montalegre (Montjeu-Alma Alegre, by Lahib) scored by a short-head in the €61,000 (A$98,000) Listed Premio Coppa D'Oro Di Milano (3000m) for 4YOs & up at San Siro. Montalegre (ridden by Dario Vargiu for trainer G.Botti) won this race for the 2nd successive year in defeating Biff Tannen (Shantou-Buenos Aires, by Mukaddamah) & Sandro Chia (Rudimentary-Frida Khalo, by Unfuwain).
