UK Tatts 2YOs: $72k Average

Monday, 7th May 2007

Overall at the UK Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up Sale, 76 lots sold for 2,129,000 guineas (A$5.535m) at an average 28,013 guineas (A$72,000) & a median of 23,000 guineas (A$60,000). Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony commented: "In the context of this year's European breeze-up market we would have to be satisfied with today's sale. In common with the earlier breeze-up sales, the market has again been selective, but as usual 2YOs that breezed well found a good cross section of buyers at all levels & we were encouraged to see new faces from throughout Europe, in particular a good number from Greece & Spain."
