Danehill Adds French Gr3

Wednesday, 9th May 2007

Also in France overnight, ill-fated Coolmore shuttler & multiple champion sire Danehill (Danzig-Razyana, by His Majesty) also added a group success when 4YO entire Champs Elysees (Danehill-Hasili, by Kahyasi) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the €80,000 (A$128,000) Gr3 Prix D'Hedouville (2400m) for 4YOs & up at Longchamp. Champs Elysees (ridden by Stephane Pasquier for trainer Andre Fabre) defeated Mister Conway (Exit To Nowhere-Cordial Lady, by The Minstrel) & Group Captain (Dr Fong-Alusha, by Soviet Star). Champs Elysees (twice Gr3-placed last season) is a full-brother to Banstead Manor-based stallion Dansili & "this victory makes him the 5th Group winner for his dam Hasili, also responsible for Gr1 winners Intercontinental, Cacique, Banks Hill (all by Danehill) & Heat Haze (by Green Desert)" noted thoroughbredinternet.com.
