Minardi Adds HK Cup Win
Wednesday, 9th May 2007
Exciting young Palmaday Stud stallion Minardi (Boundary-Yarn, by Mr. Prospector) received a timely pre-breeding season boost when Bear Macho (Minardi-Paklani Princess, by Last Tycoon) won the Hong Kong Exchanges Challenge Cup (1200m) after leading all the way to score by 1.5-lengths from barrier 10. A half-brother to Coolmore sire Tale Of The Cat, dual Gr1 European winner & US$1.6 million yearling Minardi is also a half-brother to the dam of Coolmore's freshman sire Johannesburg (who currently leads the Australian freshman race by winners).
