Meanwhile fellow Vinery 3rd Season sire More Than Ready (Southern Halo-Woodman's Girl, by Woodman) added a metropolitan double at Canterbury Park in Sydney earlier in the week: despite drawing extreme outside barrier 12, 2YO debutante filly Patronyme (a $70,000 yearling consigned by Kitchwin Hills at the 2006 Magic Millions sale) led all-the-way to score by 3-lengths for trainer John Hawkes: & 3YO gelding For Action (an $85,000 yearling consigned by Vinery Stud at the 2005 Magic Millions Sale) scored by 2-lengths over 1100m for trainer Kris Lees to take his record to 2 wins & 3 placings from 7 starts for $88,000 prize-money. As a 3rd Season sire, More Than Ready now boasts 60 individual winners (currently 2nd on the list) & $2.16 million progeny earnings (currently 4th); he has 5 yearlings & 5 weanlings catalogued for the upcoming Magic Millions National Sale.
