Vic Jockey Charged Over False Urine Sample
Meanwhile Racing Victoria stewards yesterday opened an inquired into the circumstances surrounding a urine sample provided by jockey Brian Constable & his failure to remain on-course when instructed to do so at Warrnambool on Tuesday May 1. Constable was charged with an improper practice in that he "secreted a quantity of fluid in a plastic bag in his silks & provided that fluid falsely representing it to be a contemporaneously-excreted urine sample". Constable was also charged with "having failed to remain on-course when directed by stewards to do so". The charges will be heard by the Racing Appeals & Disciplinary Board on a date to be fixed.
