14YO Equals Macau 22 Wins Record
Macau's oldest racehorse, 14-year-old gelding Million Treasure (Keen-Martin Lavell Mail, by Dominion) made history with his 22nd victory (ridden by C.F. Chan for former Darwin trainer Steve Brown) over 1000m on Taipa's all-weather sand track. Million Treasure equalled the record for most wins by a horse in Macau, previously set by 12-year-old Lone Star (by ill-fated Swettenham Stud sire & Gr1 Golden Slipper winner Rory's Jester) in October 2005. Overall Million Treasure (who arrived in Macau from the UK as a 4YO in 1997) has earned over HK$7.2 million (A$1.2m) from 160 starts.
