1st Winner For Hawk Wing
Friday, 18th May 2007
Former Coolmore shuttler Hawk Wing (Woodman-La Lorgnette, by Val De L'Orne) recorded his 1st winner overnight when 2YO colt Feared In Flight (Hawk Wing-Solar Crystal, by Alzao) came from last to score by 1.5-lengths over 6 furlongs at York in the UK for trainer Barry Hills. Another of Hawk Wing's sons Montaquila finished 3rd in the race. Hawk Wing (who shuttled to Australia in 2004 & 2005, covering 103 & 81 mares) has 7 yearlings catalogued for Sunday's Inglis Scone HTBA Sale & 5 yearlings at the upcoming Magic Millions National Sale.
