Mystery Owner Is Hayson Manager's Daughter
Controversial punter Eddie Hayson (summoned to appear at an inquiry this morning with Racing NSW chief steward Ray Murrihy) told The Sydney Morning Herald the "mystery woman A. Hyder" (listed in the racebook as the owner of recent winner Passenger) is "Amy Hyder, the daughter of my racing manager Mick Fagan. There is nothing sinister about her name appearing in the racebook. She was given the horse (as a wedding present), I pay the bills & she gets all the prize-money. This so-called mystery woman has been to the races hundreds of times, but is now living in America with her husband."
