Barathea Adds French Black-Type

Also in France, former Widden Stud shuttler Barathea (Sadler's Wells-Brocade, by Habitat) added a black-type success when the colt Friston Forest (Barathea-Talented, by Bustino) blitzed his rivals by 6-lengths in the €52,000 (A$83,000) Listed Derby Du Midi (2400m) for 3YOs at Bordeaux. Friston Forest (ridden by Steohane Pasquier for trainer Andre Fabre) defeated fellow colts Gat (Nombre Premier-Gondwana, by Hours After) & the winner's stable-mate Shujoon (Sakhee-Marie De Blois, by Barathea).
