Notnowcato Wins Irish Gr1 Tattersalls Gold Cup

Also at the Curragh overnight, 5YO entire Notnowcato (Inchinor-Rambling Rose, by Cadeaux Genereux) scored by a head in the €300,000 (A$480,000) Gr1 Tattersalls Gold Cup (10.5 furlongs) for 4YOs & up. Notnowcato (ridden by Johnny Murtagh for trainer Sir Michael Stoute) defeated triple Gr1-winning 4YO entire Dylan Thomas (Danehill-Lagrion, by Diesis) & German Gr1-winner Youmzain (Sinndar-Sadima, by Sadler's Wells). Last year Notnowcato won the UK Gr1 Juddmonte International Stakes (10.5 furlongs) at York, as well as both the UK Gr3 Earl Of Sefton Stakes & Gr3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes, plus finished runner-up in the UK Gr1 Eclipse Stakes (10 furlongs) at Sandown.
