Zabeel 2008 Fee Unchanged At NZ$100k
In New Zealand, the 2008 service fee for Cambridge Stud's multiple champion sire Zabeel (Sir Tristram-Lady Giselle, by Nureyev) will remain unchanged at NZ$100,000+GST. Zabeel (currently 2nd on the 2008 Australian general sires table thanks to his son Efficient winning the Gr1 Melbourne Cup) was leading sire at this year's NZ Bloodstock Karaka Sales where his 36 Premier Sale yearlings averaged NZ$366,914. Zabeel has appeared in the Top 10 Australian Sires (by progeny earnings) every season since 1996 & boasts 38 individual Gr1-winners & 109 individual stakes-winners.
