Stronghold To Stud At Summerhill In South Africa
Thursday, 1st May 2008
Also in South Africa, UK Gr3-winning 6YO stallion Stronghold (Danehill-Insinuate, by Mr Prospector) "has been acquired for stud duty by Mick Goss's Summerhill Stud," reported racingpost.co.uk. Juddmonte Farms (which bred & raced Stronghold) "will retain 5 shares in him" while the "remainder of the partnership includes the Hong Kong Breeders' Club & investors from Dubai & Germany". On the track, Stronghold won 5 of 15 starts (including the 2006 Gr3 Supreme Stakes) & finished 3rd in the Gr2 Hungerford Stakes in his final start last year.
