Fulmonti Wins Chairman's Handicap

Dual-Derby winning Coolmore sire & former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) added a group success when 5YO gelding Fulmonti (Montjeu-Grosvenor's Pride, by Grosvenor) scored a half-length victory in the $100,000 Gr3 Chairman's Handicap (2020m) at Doomben. Fulmonti (ridden by Rick McMahon for trainer Chris Jordan) defeated fellow 5YO gelding Diamondsondinside (Iglesia-Precious Pearl, by Semipalatinsk) & favoured 6YO gelding Legendary Man (Shovhog-Fresh Feeling, by Spectacular Spy). Fulmonti (a NZ$100,000 yearling at the 2004 NZ Bloodstock Premier Sale) now has 7 wins & 12 placings from 33 starts for $305,100 earnings.
