9-Months Drug Ban For Jockey Katsidis
Monday, 26th May 2008
Queensland Racing stewards suspended jockey Stathi Katsidis for 9-months following analysis of a urine sample he provided at Ipswich on April 30 containing the banned substance Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA, commonly known as Ecstasy). Stewards ordered Katsidis undergo a drug rehabilitation course which will see his penalty cut to 7-months if he complies.
