Giant's Causeway Adds French Black-Type

In France overnight, former Coolmore shuttler & 2000 European Horse-Of-The-Year Giant's Causeway (Storm Cat-Mariah's Storm, by Rahy) added a black-type success when US-bred 5YO son Pointilliste (Giant's Causeway-Peinture Bleue, by Alydar) scored by a neck in the €52,000 (A$88,000) Listed Prix Rene Bedel (2400m) for 4YOs & up at Lyon-Parilly. Pointilliste (ridden by A.Crastus for trainer E Lellouche) defeated Libertador (Slickly-Dancing Fan, by Lear Fan) & Distalino (Poliglote-Distale, by Trempolino). Pointilliste also finished runner-up in France's 2006 Listed Prix Ridgway (1900m) at Deauville.
