1st Winner For US Freshman Sire Scrimshaw
In Chicago, US 8YO classic-placed freshman sire Scrimshaw (Gulch-Rogue Girl, by Sham) recorded his 1st winner when 2YO filly Ravin Maniac (Scrimshaw-Radcliffe Tard, by Boston Harbor) scored by 1.25-lengths over 4.5 furlongs at Arlington Park for trainer Larry Rivelli, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Scrimshaw (a half-brother to stakes-winner Vogue Girl) stands for US$3,500 at Millennium Farms in Kentucky & has 76 2YOs in his 1st crop. On the track, Scrimshaw won 4 of 13 starts (including the 2003 Gr2 Coolmore Lexington Stakes at Keeneland, plus 3rd in the Gr1 Preakness Stakes) & earned US$461,842.
