Ireland Goresbridge 2YOs: $71k Choisir Colt
In Ireland, Russell McNabb (acting for Richard Green & the connections of Goffs Million runner-up Hitchens) paid top price of €42,000 (A$71,000) for a colt by Australian-bred Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler Choisir (out of College Chapel mare New foundation) at the 1-day Goresbridge Flat 2YO Breeze-Up Sale. The colt (an own-brother to winning juvenile Just A Dancer) was one of the stars of the pre-sale breeze-up session at Gowran Park & was previously purchased by vendor Paul Hickey (who spent 3 years working for Coolmore's Ballydoyle trainer Aidan O'Brien) for €10,500 (A$18,000) at last December's Goffs Flat Sale. McNabb told racingpost.co.uk: "He will be going into training with Gary Moore. He's a nice colt who breezed well & looks to have a bit of scope about him. He shouldn't take too long either."
