US Gr1 Victory Highlights 14 Magic Millions Mares
Meanwhile last weekend's US Gr1 victory (her 3rd) by 5YO mare Precious Kitten (Catienus-Kitten's First, by Lear Fan) in the Gamely Stakes (9 furlongs on turf) at Hollywood Park has focussed attention on next week's Magic Millions National Sale on the Gold Coast, where Baerami Thoroughbreds has consigned 14 broodmares in-foal (to southern hemisphere time) to US stallion Kitten's Joy (El Prado-Kitten's First). A US$30,000 stallion at Ramsey Farm in Kentucky, dual Gr1-winning Kitten's Joy is a half-brother to Precious Kitten (who now boasts 8 wins & 8 placings from 21 starts for US$1,602,088 earnings) & was crowned 2004 US Champion Turf Horse. Another half-sister, stakes-winner Justenuffheart, is the dam of Gr1 Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies heroine Dreaming Of Anna. The Broodmare Section of the sale starts on June 2.
