In New York overnight, Governor David Paterson's "emergency call to solve the state's fiscal crisis could prompt NY lawmakers to revisit the possibility of putting gaming at Belmont Park in addition to Aqueduct," reported thoroughbredtimes.com. "You'd think Belmont would come to the forefront," said Bennett Liebman, head of Albany Law School's Racing and Wagering Law Program. "You'd have to think this money is one of the more painless ways to raise state revenue."
