Hennessy Adds US Black-Type

Monday, 4th August 2008

Deceased Gr1-winning former Coolmore shuttler Hennessy (Storm Cat-Island Kitty, by Hawaii) added a US black-type success when daughter Porte Bonheur (Hennessy-Sous Entendu, by Shadeed) scored a 2-lengths victory in the US$82,000 Listed Flanders Stakes (6 furlongs) for 3YO fillies at Saratoga. Porte Bonheur (ridden by Ramon Dominguez for trainer David Duggan) defeated Lovely Isle (Double Honor-Eleven Islands, by Island Whirl) & Morakami (Fusaichi Pegasus-Astrid, by Concern). Last year Porte Bonheur also won the Listed Open Mind Stakes (6 furlongs) at Belmont Park.
