In Brazil, 4YO mare Really Winner (Public Purse-Just A Winner, by Roy) "charged down the stretch" to snatch victory in the final stride for prominent international owner-breeder Julio Bozano's Haras Santa Maria de Araras in the Gr1 Grande Premio Roberto e Nelson Grimaldi Seabra (2000m on turf) for mares 4YO & up at Hipodromo La Gavea in Rio de Janeiro, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Really Winner (ridden by Bruno Reis for trainer Roberto Morgado) defeated front-running Hilaris (Parme-Nortica, by Kitwood) & Blessed Maid (Bless Business-Bolero's Maid, by Bolo Bolero). At her previous start, Really Winner also won Brazil's Gr2 Grande Premio Adayr Eiras De Araujo (2000m on turf) at Gavea on July 6, after earlier this year finishing 2nd in both February's Gr1 Grande Premio Henrique Possolo (1600m on turf) at Gavea & April's Gr2 Grande Premio Marciano De Aguiar Moreira (200m) at Gavea; & in 2007 she won the Gr2 Grande Premio Duque De Caxias (2000m on turf) at Gavea.
