Vic Govt $2.1m Boost For Training Facilities
Victorian Racing Minister Rob Hulls yesterday announced a $2.1 million funding boost for training facilities at 12 regional racetracks across the state, beginning with $450,000 for the Cranbourne Training Complex which "includes funding for the installation of plastic running rails". Hulls noted: "Cranbourne will act as a pilot for the use of plastic running rails and, if successful, the rails could eventually be used at every Victorian racecourse." The other tracks to share the funding are Yarra Glen, Sale, Seymour, Ballarat, Bairnsdale, Kyneton, Stawell, Wodonga, Warrnambool, Moe & Mornington.
