NSW Rule Changes On Promoting Racehorse Shares
Friday, 8th August 2008
Racing NSW announced amendments to its Local Rules Of Racing for promotion of shares in racehorses. They include provisions to: "carry out investigations of the authorised representatives" of the promoter; establish a "Register of Approved Authorised Representatives"; ban advertising of shares "unless the advertisement has been approved" by Racing NSW or an official regulator; "decline to register a racehorse" or "decline any nomination or entry of the racehorse" where a breach of the regulations has occurred.
