Wednesday, 13th August 2008
Expensive 3YO colt Bombard (Fusaichi Pegasus-La Boisselle) scored on debut over 1200m at Geelong yesterday for trainer Danny O'Brien. Bombard was a $550,000 yearling consigned by Coolmore Stud at the 2007 Inglis Easter Sale in Sydney; he is the 1st foal from stakes-placed dam & $1.5 million 2002 Inglis Easter yearling La Boisselle (a half-sister to both Champion 2YO Assertive Lad & dual Gr1-winner Assertive Lass, in turn the dam of unbeaten dual Gr1-winning Darley sire Reset).
