Sebring Half-Brother At 2009 Magic Millions
The half-brother to last season's Australian champion juvenile Sebring (More Than Ready-Purespeed, by Flying Spur) is heading to January's Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Queensland Gold Coast. The colt is by Gr1-winning Arrowfield Stud stallion Charge Forward. Sebring (a $130,000 yearling consigned by Corumbene Stud at the 2007 Magic Millions January Sale on the Gold Coast) notched 5 successive victories in the just-completed 2007-08 season (including the Gr1 Golden Slipper over 1200m at Rosehill, Gr1 Inglis AJC Sires' Produce Stakes over 1400m at Randwick, Listed Breeders Plate over 1100m at Randwick & Listed Canonbury Stakes over 1000m at Randwick) & a last-start runner-up (beaten by a short-head) in the Gr1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) at Randwick for $2,537,060 earnings. In May, NSW's Widden Stud announced Sebring will join its stallion roster at the conclusion of his 3YO season. Meanwhile Charge Forward will stand the 2008 season at Arrowfield for $24,750.
