Monday, 18th August 2008

Coolmore shuttler Tale Of The Cat (Storm Cat-Yarn, by Mr Prospector) added another US black-type success when 4YO daughter Goodbye Norma Jean (Tale Of The Cat-Norma's Legacy, by Red Ransom) scored a 0.75-lengths victory in the US$50,000 Listed First Lady Handicap (6 furlongs) for fillies & mares at Ruidoso Downs in New Mexico. Goodbye Norma Jean (ridden by Joe Martinez for trainer Henry Dominguez) defeated fellow 4YO mares Topper's Movin (Old Topper-Move Smartly, by Star Of The Crop) & Run Right Thru (Montbrook-Catbird Creek, by Storm Creek). Previously this year Goodbye Norma Jean won both the US Listed Fisher Memorial Handicap (7 furlongs) at Sunray Park & Listed Fern Sawyer Handicap (7.5 furlongs) at Ruidoso Downs.
