Devenir Wins Chile Gr1 Polla De Potrillos
In Chile, Devenir (Until Sundown-Depurada, by Early Gray) scored by a head in the Gr1 Clasico Polla de Potrillo-2000 Guineas (1st leg of the Club Hipico de Santiago Quadruple Crown) over 1700m on turf for 3YO colts. Devenir (ridden by Luis Torres for trainer Domingo Matte) defeated Gr1-winner Bamburi (Dushyantor-Brusela, by Seeker's Reward) & Chevalier (High Pitched-Coquina, by The Great Shark). Previously this year Devenir finished 3rd in April's Gr2 Premio El Estreno Nicanor Senoret (1300m on turf) at Valparaiso, then runner-up in June's Gr1 Clasico Alberto Vial Infante (1600m on turf) at Club Hipico & 3rd in July's Gr3 Premio Raimundo Valdes Cuevas (1600m on turf) at Club Hipico. Overall he now has 3 wins from 15 starts.
