1st Stakes Win For UK Sire Deportivo
In Ireland overnight, UK-based sire Deportivo (Night Shift-Valencia) recorded his 1st stakes-winner when UK-bred juvenile colt Senor Mirasol (Deportivo-Hidden Meaning, by Cadeaux Genereux) scored by 2.5-lengths in the €60,000 (A$102,000) Listed Tipperary Stakes (5 furlongs) for 2YOs for trainer Kevin Ryan. Senor Mirasol took his record to 3 wins & 2 placings from 5 starts. His sire Deportivo stands at Walton Fields Stud in Leicestershire £3,000 (A$6,300). "His 4 individual winners to date come from just 9 starters & have now won 7 starts between them," noted the-racehorse.com.
